All Rhondda Cynon Taf libraries provide free access to computers and the internet. These can be used to search for information, send emails, word processing, preparing presentations.
Reference libraries are provided at Aberdare, Ponytpridd and Treorchy libraries with dedicated inquiry staff. Study desks are provided and digital microfilm/fiche scanners are available.
The reference libraries at Aberdare, Pontypridd and Treorchy libraries collect material in English and Welsh related to the history of the area respectively. Family history resources such as census returns are also available.
Mobile libraries serve communities that are some distance from a library building. The Bookbus is a mobile library for children visiting schools and playschemes.
The Schools Library Service maintain extensive special collections for loan to local primary schools, as well as providing an advisory service on setting up a school library.
Just call into any library and ask for a membership application form and fill this in. You will need to provide 1 document proving your identity which should include your name and address.
