Children and Young People Partnership

Fframwaith the Children and Young People’s Partnership has worked together with children, young people their families and the people who work with them to produce the first Children and Young People’s Plan for Rhondda Cynon Taf.

There is an expectation across Wales that through the following 7 Core Aims agencies and people will improve the way they work together to ensure all Children and Young People:

Have a flying start in life.
Have a comprehensive range of education and learning opportunities.
Enjoy the best possible health, freedom from abuse, victimisation and exploitation.
Have access to play, leisure, sporting and cultural activities.
Are listened to, treated with respect, and have their race and cultural identity recognised.
Have a safe home and community which supports physical and emotional well-being.
Are not disadvantaged by poverty.

Children and Young People from across Rhondda Cynon Taf have produced bi-lingual, child and young person friendly versions of this Plan which include, a story book for children, a DVD, poster and leaflet for young people, these can be accessed by clicking on the links below.
